Big Films Hit Big Delays

By Karina Wensjoe

Ah, the beauty of films. Watching a movie is a perfect slip into another universe, away from the real world—or the aching pandemic. But now movies are hitting rock bottom. Although a few cinemas in some of the states have begun to reopen, the issue at hand is that many films we were hoping to see—most of which were completed films or in post-production—are being delayed. This drawback solely derives from the pandemic’s impact. Unfortunately, the films we were hoping to see soon in theaters are now being pushed back a year, or even two, for release. With a few blockbuster films being made accessible to rent or purchase at the comfort of your own home, production agencies are facing an economic pitfall prompting them to delay releases. With that in mind, here is a guide to a few films that were set to come out this and next year that were moved because of COVID-19. New release dates for each movie are available.
